Most of the deportees hailed from Bulgaria, the United States, Ukraine, China, and Russia, head of the public relations and reformation division at the Legal and Human Rights Affairs Ministry (Bali Office), I Putu Surya Dharma, said here on Wednesday.
The preliminary deportation reports were obtained from the immigration offices of the Denpasar, Singaraja, and Ngurah Rai International Airport, Dharma said, adding that Russian nationals stayed on top of the list of the deportees.
The Denpasar immigration authority alone deported 18 foreign nationals, including three Russians, between January and September this year, while its detention house received 20 more foreign nationals amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation, he said.
Those lodged at the Denpasar Immigration Detention House currently include citizens of such countries as Russia, Nigeria, and Kenya, he informed. (INE)
